Mr Geert Magerman from Belgium, EUSA- technical delegate in charge of the 1st European Universities Bridge Championship, came to Opatija on July 9th 2009. Together with Mr Grgurić, prof Prahović and prof Protić, he analysed everything concerning the competition, accomodation, transport and all other technical details.

Mr Magerman also noticed the specifity of the town Opatija and approved the accomodation, which is certainly the best one beeing offered to students so far.

The president expressed his admiration for the Croat organisation. Also during European

University championsip, Mr.Giannarigo then joined in the open pairs competition.
